The 608 Nitrotech Head and Aluminum Twin Leg Tripod with Middle Spreader from Manfrotto provide content creators with a versatile solution for a wide range of applications. A lightweight head is paired with a robust three-section tripod and a removable mid-level spreader that adds stability and allows for more accurate angle adjustments.

The head supports up to 17.6 lb and features a Nitrogen gas piston mechanism that enables continuous counterbalance across the entire payload range. It is also designed with improved fluid technology that allows smooth and judder-free pan and tilt movements. Additional key features of the head include a side-lock camera plate system and two rosette adapters, each with a 3/8″-16 accessory port and Manfrotto and ARRI anti-rotation slots.

A half ball adapter is included to convert the flat-base head for use with the tripod, which features a 100mm bowl and a 75mm bowl adapter. With its native flat base, the 608 Nitrotech can also be easily mounted on sliders, jibs, and other support gear.

The combined maximum height of the head and tripod is 66″, and the minimum height is 29″. The tripod features twin spiked feet with removable rubber overshoes, allowing it to be used on both soft terrain and flat surfaces. A padded carrying bag is included for convenient transport.

Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head

The Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech is a flat-base fluid video head designed for the versatility needs of independent content creators working across different types of productions.

Thanks to its flat base with a 3/8″-16 mounting thread, along with its relatively compact and lightweight design, the head can easily be moved between a compatible tripod and other support systems such as sliders, jibs, monopods, and more.

One of the key features of the 608 Nitrotech is its Nitrogen gas piston counterbalance mechanism (Nitrotech), which allows continuous counterbalance adjustment rather than stepped or fixed adjustments, covering the full payload range from 0 to 17.6 lb.

Additionally, an upgraded fluid system significantly improves continuously variable drag performance and enables smooth, vibration-free pan and tilt movements.

For additional flexibility, the head features a side-lock camera plate system that allows for quicker and safer mounting of your camera and plate. Instead of aligning and sliding the plate in from the rear, you can simply place one side of the plate from above and press until it clicks securely into place.

The 608 Nitrotech includes two rosette mounts for attaching the included pan bar on either the left or right side. These rosettes also feature Manfrotto’s Easy Link system, which allows accessories to be mounted via an articulating arm.

Each rosette includes:

• Manfrotto anti-rotation slots

• ARRI locating pin compatibility

This system supports Manfrotto articulating arms with anti-rotation pins as well as arms with ARRI locating pins to prevent twisting. Standard articulating arms can also be used.

Additional improvements include better resistance to low operating temperatures, along with enhanced ergonomics and upgraded materials used for the control knobs.

The Manfrotto Aluminum Twin Leg Video Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader is a two-stage tripod featuring a 100mm bowl and a rigid internal leg-lock mechanism.

A 100-to-75mm bowl adapter is included, allowing compatibility with both 100mm and 75mm video heads.

The tripod features twin spiked feet with removable rubber overshoes, enabling use on various terrains as well as smooth surfaces.

The tripod supports up to 55 lb, with:

The tripod includes a mid-level spreader with telescopic arms, which provides additional stability and enables precise leg angle adjustment.

The spreader is removable, and the tripod also supports the optional Manfrotto 165MV ground spreader.
