Equipped with a 33MP full-frame sensor, the Sony FX2 combines the advanced video capabilities of the Cinema Line with improved still image capture in a compact, travel-friendly design.

Ideal for filmmakers and content creators on the move, the FX2 includes an S-Log3 photo mode with optional LUT application and a 3.68-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder that tilts from 0° to 90°.

Its AI processing unit enhances image stabilization and real-time subject recognition, maximizing autofocus accuracy and automatic framing.

33MP Exmor R BSI CMOS Sensor

The FX2 pairs a 33MP back-illuminated Exmor R sensor with the BIONZ XR processor, enabling vivid 4K video capture with natural color reproduction, smooth gradations, and low noise.

The camera supports both full-frame and Super 35 modes, providing flexibility with a wide range of lenses.

In full-frame mode, the FX2 records 4K30 video using 7K oversampling and full pixel readout for exceptional detail. In Super 35 mode, the maximum frame rate increases to 4K60.

Designed for diverse lighting conditions, the FX2 features:

• 15+ stops of dynamic range
• ISO expandable up to 204,800
• Dual base ISO (800 / 4000) for S-Log3 recording

DCI 4K Video Recording

The FX2 records DCI 4K internally in 10-bit 4:2:2 or outputs 16-bit RAW via HDMI.

• XAVC HS

Supported codecs include Long GOP, All-Intra, H.264, and H.265.

Color and tone can be customized using up to 16 user-imported LUTs or the S-Cinetone color profile, enabling seamless matching with cameras such as VENICE, FX9, FX6, and FX3.

Hybrid Still Image Capture

Eye detection for humans and animals is 30% more accurate than on the FX3 and FX30, making the FX2 ideal for fast-moving subjects such as wildlife or sports.

AI tracking also enables auto framing, keeping the subject centered in the frame automatically.
